		SYNOPSIS
		With one man's ambition (John Howard, STD Chairman) to create the foremost memory challenge competition in the UK, The STD Championships, and another man's dream (Tarquin Smith) to become the new crowned Champion.
		The STD Championships is an annual competition for the memory of the UK area dialling codes.
		Founded by Chairman John Howard the association was reformed as the STD Championships after failings within the previous organisation, with the devoted help of secretary and partner Celia Clark they run this event with the utmost precision. Celia is his rock.
		Now seven years old, the STD Championships are fiercely challenged by many competitors who have their own individual methodology to memorise so many codes, this event being the greatest within their annual calendar.
		The competitors are a mixture of the old school and new, incorporating all walks of life from the committed to the glory hunter.
		Tarquin Smith, runner up last year and favourite for the this years championships (as Dave Knight, last years Champions out of the picture) has put in the hours with his own proven code practice method (which he hopes to publish after he has won this year).
		Fever pitch tension, ambitions of glory, cut-throat competition, secret methodology, romance and old rivalry means there is much at stake.
